Summer Cafe at I-Avenue (Bukit Jambul)

Last evening we decided that we had enough of home cooked meal and agreed to eat out. We wanted to give the wok and oven a rest. We had a couple of choices but we ultimately settled on Summer Cafe. It's situated at I-Avenue shoplot which is close to the Bukit Jambul complex. The location is perfect for us since we did'nt want to drive all the way to town.

We were at the cafe before 6pm to beat the crowd and practically booked the whole cafe. You really cannot blame us for being this kiasu because this cafe can be quite crowded even on weekdays. It's located close to Bayan Lepas and a lot of factory folks do dine here. We decided we couldn't afford to any risks. I suggest you do the same if you do go there next time.

The menu offers an interesting selection of hand made noodles, salads and rice to choose from. The same goes for beverages and desserts.

A picture speaks a thousand words!

We had the garlic chicken rice and tomato egg chicken rice. Both were good.

.....and vegetable soup.....

Summer Cafe is great if you like simple food. There's absolutely nothing complex or fancy about the food here and it offers good selection too. However, do prepare to wait for your meals during peak hours. I suggest that you pack some biscuits with you when you come here. You will thank me for this!
